Brooklyn's Blog

Brooklyn was abandoned at the New York shelter. Her leg was wrapped and the shelter staff were told her leg was broken. We pulled her and offered to have her treated medically. She is only 4 months old and deserves a chance at a forever home. On June 12, 2010, our vet looked at her leg and determined it to be an old break that was never properly treated. She goes in for a surgical consult on June 14, 2010. She is a wonderful puppy. She is up to date with all of her vaccinations and microchipped. She will go in for her spay when her leg is healed properly.

6/16 Update - Brooklyn had her surgery yesterday and she is recovering well. She will need continued rehabilitation and therapy. She now has a pin in her leg and her leg will be shorter than the others but she will be able to live a happy life. She has a pending adoption and we are looking forward to her being able to go to her forever home when she is cleared medically.

Ariel has found a happy home with her new foster parents!
